Covid-19 Insights

The Business & Society blog is inviting contributions as part of the editorial by the co-editors of Business & Society and their accompanying post.

The contributions are related to three broad themes, as follows:
1. The processes and mechanisms through which society responded; Developing strategies for future mobilisation of resources and support for societal problems.
2. Organisational responses; Insights on how similar changes can be achieved in the future and how businesses can (and should!) respond to broader societal challenges.
3. Future of business: business models, socioeconomic systems, and alternative business models.

More information on the call for contributions is obtained in this post by Sarah Stephen (Blog Editor) & José-Carlos García-Rosell (Social Media Editor).

By facilitating conversations on these themes, we have joined the COVID-19 Insights forum endorsed by Alliance for Research on Corporate Sustainability (ARCS), Group for Research on Organizations and the Natural Environment (GRONEN), Network for Business Sustainability (NBS), Organizations and the Natural Environment Division of the Academy of Management (ONE), Responsible Research for Business and Management Network (RRBM), and Social Issues in Management Division of the Academy of Management (SIM).

Below are the authors & the posts associated with this special forum.

The usefulness and surveillance aspects of these apps are tightropes for app-developing organizations. Voluntary use, depersonalization of data and easy opt-out features of these apps might not fully help contain COVID-19, but are essential for the long-term because the absence of these would result in negative reputation and new lawsuits.
